Extension - Mate Translate does NOT work: 1) does NOT translate selected text; 2) does NOT translate the entire page; 3) translates only in a miniature window in the web browser's extension panel. Inconvenient translation of the text, which is displayed only on the left side, not in width, not in the center, which worsens perception. Changing the window size in the extension settings does not affect the position of the text in any way; 4) LACK of privacy - quote: «According to the regulament you can request the deletion of your data from the Mate servers». In other words, everything you write is automatically sent to the Mate server.

This extension is great for quick translations, but I’ve been using TinaMind too—it can summarize entire pages and even create mind maps. Makes studying and research way easier.

You select any text and a bubble with the translation appears underneath, very practical!

first try, it thought norwegian was japanese and theres no way to change the input language

The quality/accuracy of the translations has gone down lately (Aug 2025). Otherwise good tool.

works great but it blocking the captcha. I need to turn it off first to bypass cloudflared captcha

Dev don't care about users. They are slow to fix bugs even though a lot of people report them about Cloudflare issue. I deleted this extension because I was tired of it.

The pronunciation does not work; after pressing the button, no voice is played.

I've been using this translator for two years now, and I absolutely love it! The double-click word translation feature is a lifesaver when reading scientific papers with uncommon words because it lets you stay in the reading flow without constantly switching to the translator.

I again cannot log into my account in extension because of the error {"driver":true,"name":"MongoError","index":0,"code":17419} For the first time, this problem occurred with my original account, then they added a license to my second account, but now I get the same error when logging in through the second account. I wrote in support of the extension, at first, they responded, but for the last six months, they have simply ignored my requests.

Unfortunately not usable, hope it can be fixed soon. Currently using TinaMind as a temporary replacement.

Guys, have been using Pro for quite a while and love it overall! I'm using it as chrome extension and mainly find it convenient because of the on-page popup translation. But the struggle is that oftentimes it's not working. I see that the action triggers the popup(it appears as a small box with loading) but nothing happens then. If you fix it, I promise to keep recommending it to everyone:)

Not bad, but after using it a few times, it starts charging. So I switched to TinaMind, which has always been free.
